Other Stuff
(Newest pictures are at the top of the page)
Tears and Rain: Galford embracing a fatally wounded Nakoruru, Nakoruru's bloodied short sword on the ground, and the rain is coming down. What just happened here? To tell the truth, even I don't really know. It just sort of...happened.

Happy Mother's Day: I made this for my stepmother, an online Mother's Day card.

Soulkeeper: This is a character I created. I was gonna make a comic book out of it, but I never had the time. She's a mortal guardian of the world's pure souls, assigned by the main man Himself. Part of a "bad-girl" phase in comics that will never die.

Grace, Power, and a Lot of Soul: Another picture of the divine guardian. She came out a little...shorter than I thought when it was finished. Oh well, I like it anyway, though...^_^;

Jack In...: A flyer for the July 1996 Anime Addicts meeting. My friend John Sumner drew the gal with the gun. Cool, huh?

Excuse Me, Mister!: No Doubt's video for "Excuse Me Mr." inspired this flyer for the March 1997 meeting. I've wondered what these guys would look like in suits...

Sailor Mars: My favorite Sailor Senshi, drawn from memory. I know, I know, the boots are wrong, and so is the symbol. But I like the pose anyway. Miss Thang, burnin' it up!

Akane vs. the Orochi: From my favorite story (next to the final one) from my favorite manga, Ranma 1/2. The video version is called "An Akane to Remember". Akane, in a schoolboy disguise, ready to take on the Yamata no Orochi demon. I had a different style to my art back then (around '96), as you can probably tell.

Nakoruru: this one's from a few years back. Have you guessed yet that she's my favorite character from the Samurai Spirits series?

Go Flyers...: Looks kind of like an older version of "onna-teki" (girl-type) Ranma, wearing (ahem) a Philadelphia Flyers jersey. Some of my friends...REALLY liked this one...

Cursed Spring Tour Poster: This is a copy. I ended up giving the original of this one to a friend of mine when I moved away. What if the characters from Ranma 1/2 formed a rock band? (Sounds stupid, doesn't it? ^_^;) Oh well, the band's name is "Cursed Spring", if ya hadn't guessed.

Ranma, After Todd: Pose look familiar? I thought it might. Almost every comic fan recognizes it. Inspired by Todd McFarlane's cover for Spider-Man #1 (and Spawn #8), with a little twist!

Kasumi: How come no one's ever done a "risque" picture of the most beautiful thing in Ranma 1/2? So I thought I might give it a shot. This was during my "girls with material" phase. I did a lot of these, but for some reason, never kept 'em.

Ranma 1/2: Kumite: An alternate reality where the Kumite martial arts tournament was never banned. Ranma's about to turn 18, and all he wants for his birthday is to be the champion. This is the outfit he wore to the tournament, in a story that also never happened. 'Cause I never finished it. ^_^;

Hiryu-Shoten-Ha!: Another one from a few years ago. Ranma's most powerful technique (even more powerful than the Crouch of the Wild Tiger!), also the first time I tried to draw a dragon. The ink was entirely ball-point pen.

Cloud and Tifa: A flyer for the May 1997 Anime Addicts meeting. This was done WAY before Final Fantasy VII came out for the Playstation in the U.S., which is why Tifa's got that gnarly-lookin' weapon. Still, one of my best flyers.

Mat: This one's another character from The Wheel of Time. Mat Cauthon's kind of a reckless soul, and gets into trouble at times. But I don't think he'll ever change; hell, if DYING didn't change his ways, I don't think anything else will! If you've read the series, you'll know where he got that mean-lookin' spear, too!

Racecar: A fanart I did for the "impromanga" called Racecar, which you can read over at Anime Artists' HQ(check the links page). If you don't know what an impromanga is, the AAHQ explains it all for ya. I actually signed up for a chapter of the story, but when the waiting list came out, I found out I couldn't do it after all. Oh, well, I'll get another chance...^_-
